Most places sell you a card. We help you keep it current.

A food handler card is easy to get and easy to forget about. Then an inspector asks for it, or it quietly lapses while someone is still on the schedule. That is where the fines come from, and it is the part we actually built for.

Who needs one

Most people who handle unpackaged food, food equipment or food-contact surfaces need a food handler card. That usually means cooks, servers, bussers, dishwashers, prep staff, baristas and bartenders. Many jurisdictions require it within a set number of days of being hired.

What the training covers

  • Time and temperature control, including safe cooking, cooling and holding
  • Personal hygiene and when to stay home sick
  • Cross-contamination and allergen awareness
  • Cleaning and sanitising, and the difference between them
  • The risk factors health inspectors actually look for

After you pass

Your certificate is issued immediately, so you can print it or show it before your next shift. We hold the record with its expiry date, remind you before it runs out, and let you reprint free for 12 months. If your employer manages certification for the whole team, they can see the same information in one place.

Common questions

If yours is not here, get in touch and we will answer it properly.

How long does it take?

About 30 minutes for most people, and you do not have to do it in one sitting. Start on your phone during a break and finish later on a laptop.

Is this accepted where I work?

You select your state when you begin, which gives you the program approved for that jurisdiction. The training is ANAB-accredited, Reseller of StateFoodSafety, ANAB ID 1020, accredited through December 7, 2026. Some counties and cities add requirements of their own, so it is always worth a quick check with your local health authority.

What if I fail the test?

You get 2 attempts included and you can review the training in between. Most people pass on the first try.

How long is my card valid?

That depends on your state, and your certificate shows its own expiry date. We track that date and let you know before it runs out, which is the part most people miss.

I lost my certificate. Can I get another?

Yes. Log in and reprint it free for 12 months after you finish. No phone calls, no fee.

I need to certify my whole staff

That is what we are built for. Buy seats in bulk, assign training to your team, and track who has finished and when each card expires from one screen. Get in touch and we will set it up with you.

Ready when you are
